This market takes its inspiration from the Slow Food movement and aims to bring all food sourced, grown, raised, harvested, caught, preserved or transformed by the producers themselves. Its setting is the Oude Libertas, surrounded by vineyards and oak trees, a perfect spot to enjoy the slowness of the Stellenbosch Winelands.

As the name suggests this market is conveniently situated on the Route 44 between Stellenbosch and Somerset West. The only market on this list that is truly a farmer’s market- here you will find a variety of freshly harvested organic and biodynamic produce. Located at the Stellenbosch Waldorf School it’s a little off the main routes, but well worth a visit. Perfect place to fill your shopping basket with your weeks fill of organic produce.
